Amniostasis, death metal band from Australia is Ben Mahoney (guitar, bass & programming) and Yowie Smith (vocals & lyrics).

Ben and Yowie are veterans in the Townsville metal scene and have been long time friends. Throughout the years they had discussions of doing a project together, and in late 2021 a project came to be in the form of Amniostasis. Over the next two years Amniostasis released 4 singles via streaming platforms, though always wanted to release something on CD and/or Vinyl.

This year (2024) Amniostasis crossed paths with the label, Gutter Prince Cabal. A label releasing extreme metal bands from the Asia Pacific Region. In June 2024 Gutter Prince Cabal released Amniostasis’ self titled EP.
