Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Blackened Rose was founded by the vocalist Aleksei Iagunkov in the end of 2022 as his desire to combine the sexiness and melancholic beauty of gothic metal with fun of the 80’s inspired hard rock.

With time the influences grew to encompass bands like Type O Negative, HIM, Whitesnake, The 69 Eyes, Ghost and more! Since the early 2023 the band has played numerous shows in NSW including working with Metal Evilution as part of their Metal on the Northside concert series and Black Roos Entertainment for the 2024 edition of Metal United Down Under festival.

Blackened Rose has shared the stage with notable bands like Temtris, Pyrefly, Snake Bite Whisky, The Hush, Tiger and many more! Now the band has returned from the creative hiatus with a new line-up and a new powerful single ‘Crimson Red Snow’ unleashed into the world.
