Country: USA
Genre: Symphonic Funeral Doom
Founded: 2018
Divisions of Grandeur is a symphonic funeral doom band based in the United States. They formed in 2018 after many years of the project being set aside in favor of other musical endeavors. Drawing influence from genre pioneers such as Evoken, Disembowelment, Skepticism, and My Dying Bride, the band weaves atmospheric and symphonic elements into a sound that is both massive and mournful.

Their music moves at a crushing, deliberate pace, channeling deep sadness and sorrow through slow, oppressive riffs that feel like a train wreck unfolding in slow motion. In mid 2025, Divisions of Grandeur did a soft release of their debut album, The Prevalence of Suffering, a bleak and immersive statement that fully captures the band’s vision of despair, heaviness, and emotional weight. 2026 sees the band release their debut efforts to the masses.
