An angry boy screams at the wall of a long abandoned pub for years. He bangs his fists against his head and scratches his nails bloody, shouting. At some point, he finally realizes that nothing will change. Neither with him nor with this godforsaken world! He decides to look for more creative ways out of his anger, hatred and lack of prospects and, apart from alcohol and marijuana, only finds a lasting catalyst in extreme music.

After the first encounters with bands such as Pantera, Sepultura, Kreator and Slayer, the up-and-coming melodic bands such as Carcass, Edge of Sanity, At the Gates and Dismember soon followed. It soon becomes clear that Mindreaper is the inevitable consequence! In the early years, thrash/death metal was played with various musicians in the German underground until the musical tide began to turn a decade ago. Marcel B., a virtuoso guitarist, joins the band and just one year later, exceptional bassist Christian follows the call. Sebastian, who still roars angrily into the microphone, embraces the new sound, which is now more melodic and multi-faceted.

The band seeks out old master Andy Classen in his Stage One Studio to ensure the right sound quality and together they create their first melodic album “Mirror Construction (…a disordered World)”. The first major European tour supporting Six Feet Under takes the band to many of the most remote places on the continent and to electrified fans.
To celebrate the “Mirror Construction” album, which had been released in the meantime, the band went on tour again and played in several Eastern European countries to reach their fans there too. Meanwhile, more and more magazines and promoters became aware of the band and presented the tours and concerts, giving the music and performance top ratings.

After the successful Eastern European tour, the last change within the band takes place. The previous drummer Manuel, who already supports Sebastian with his vocals, leaves the band to concentrate more on his own projects. However, it is hard to escape the cosmos of Mindreaper through numerous gigs, tours and recordings. That’s why Manuel will continue to provide his great vocals for Mindreaper, ensuring that the unique chemistry with Sebastian, which already thrilled on the highly acclaimed “Mirror Construction (…a disordered World)”, is also guaranteed for the next stroke of genius.
For the vacant position on drums, the living drum machine Marcel S. joins the band. With his power, they go full throttle on the songwriting for the new album “Withering Shine (…Into Oblivion)”, which will see the light of a withering world in 2024!
