Miruthan isn’t just a band; it’s a visceral and apocalyptic narrative of survival and malevolence that transcends mere musical expression. Legend has it that the masked and cloaked members of this enigmatic group are survivors from a dystopian future overrun by the relentless menace of the undead. Their journey through this grim reality has birthed a twisted folklore, woven from their harrowing experiences and woven into the very fabric of their being.

At the heart of their dark sonic universe lies a focus on black and death metal—an auditory extension of their tormented narrative. The relentless power chords, guttural growls, and thunderous drum beats serve as a cacophonous backdrop to the macabre tale they narrate through their music.
Peering behind the veils of secrecy that shroud their identities, it’s known that the members of Miruthan are seasoned veterans of the music industry. They had traversed the circuit, touring with various bands before fate wove their destinies into the tapestry of this singularly ominous collective.
In this chilling saga, Nzambi Mapungu emerges as the central figure—the Zombie God, as they call him. He is the mastermind, responsible for penning the gruesome tale, wielding the rhythm guitar, and unleashing the primal Sprechstimme that echoes the anguish of their desolate world.

In contrast, Mvumbi, known as the Ghost, takes the forefront with his haunting vocal prowess, luring listeners into the abyss of the undead. He embraces the darkness, crossing over to become one with the zombie—a symbolic representation of the world they’ve emerged from.
Houngan, aptly titled the Priestess in their folklore, contributes to the haunting ambiance of their music with intricate guitar solos and melodies that seem to sear the soul. The female Priestess, responsible for lighting and costumes, adds her own mystique, keeping the band on track and visually aligned with the dark narrative. Mambo Astral, the enigmatic lighting technician, casts an ethereal glow upon the darkened stage, enhancing the eerie atmosphere.
Baron Bokor and Bakongo Bokor add their screeching voices to the mix, complementing Mvumbi’s haunting vocals, ensuring the band stays in sync like a pet zombie and skilled fighters, battling through their auditory journey.
Nu Mpemba, the bass player, lays down the profound foundation of their sound, anchoring their music with deep, resonant tones that reverberate through the very essence of their story.

Lastly, Kikongo Tombi takes on the mantle of the drummer, the rhythmic heartbeat of their dark tale. He’s not only a musical powerhouse but also the epitome of strength and skill in the face of the post-apocalyptic world they conjure.
Together, Miruthan presents a tapestry of horror and resilience, immersing their audience in a world teeming with zombies, villains, and the desperate struggle for survival. The characters they embody become as crucial to the narrative as the raw, thunderous notes they produce.
Their music, a fusion of black and death metal, serves as the haunting soundtrack to their grim tale of survival, painting a vivid picture of a world plunged into darkness. Miruthan, as a band, forges a path into the unknown, pushing the boundaries of storytelling within the realm of music, creating a universe unparalleled and transporting fans into a post-apocalyptic realm fraught with zombies, malevolent figures, and tales of unwavering endurance. It’s a journey through sound and story that leaves an indelible mark on the psyche, beckoning all who dare to explore the shadows of their dystopian reality.
