The band was founded in spring 2019 by members and exmembers of Prague based underground bands. The musical style of Outward is not easy to assume. It´s a mix of post-metal and post-punk with elements of doom metal and black metal.

The band is known for giving intense live shows with pure rock´n´roll energy giving the crowd a dose of pure emotions. First release was a self-titled EP in the end of 2020 amidst the covid-19 lockdows. The year 2022 saw the band release a single called Rays of the Sun which is a tease of what to expect from their music in the near future and also released a compilation of both the EP and the single, newly remixed to enhance the listening experience, called MMXX — MMXXII.

The band continues to play underground gigs and work on their first full-length studio album.
