PORAZIUM is a metal band from Zagreb, Croatia, formed in 2018.
This 4-piece band started as a project but ended up in a full scale band presenting themselves trough 1st album BIGGER THE CARE — BIGGER THE HATE.
It all started in the early 2014. when Goran and Marin were jamming in a rehearsal room while still active as drummers in their former bands (Goran — Narednik Lobanja i Vod Smrti, Marin – Decomposing Entity). Jamming sessions became more often and an idea for a project spurred into their „metal-heads“, while already creating their own path in metal music. Darko was also a drummer in a band called Stribog and ripping his vocal cords in Avicularia. Those bands were all from Zagreb/Croatia, so these trio was very familiar with their capabilities since they know each other for more than 15 years.
Avicularia’s time came to an end, Darko decided to join Goran and Marin, putting more into their music together, giving the fillings and new dimension with vocals, since they always share almost the same music taste and influence.
They started to play together and made their first album resulting with band name, lyrics, song names and recording sessions as a part of rehearsal. Spending as much time as they managed in a rehearsing room a lot of effort was put into the album production, while simultaneously having a great time just hanging and listening to the music they made.
There was still a missing essence called a bass guitar.
Nevertheless, a decision during a pandemic was to get into the studio and record their first album, but after a while a bass player Antonio from Šibenik came in. Antonio was well known in Zagreb as a bass player in bands like Namet and Ashes of Eternity.
Presenting Antonio a whole Porazium thing, not just the music, but the whole mindset behind it, Antonio instantly joined the band and started to record bass guitar for the first album, later called »Bigger the Care—Bigger the Hate».
