The Trousers is a 4 piece garage rock / hard rock / rock’n’roll band from Budapest. Their music is inspired by 70’s hard rock classics (Stones, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Motörhead) as well as bands with a similar attitude after 2000 like The Hellacopters or Queens of the Stone Age. Very riff-oriented and song-oriented at the same time.

Since 2008 they have released six albums and several EP’s; the 2013 LP “Freakbeat” includes Hellacopters-boss Nicke Andersson with a guitar solo. Their albums always get good reviews in the international rock press, for example 2022’s “Animal Gun” was rated between 7–10/10 in Hungary, Germany, Denmark or Italy. Their seventh studio album, “Necessary Evil”, was released in November 2025 and is their most explosive material so far, with heavy riffs and melodic songwriting. Rock Hard Italy and Ox Fanzine Germany both rated the album 9/10, claiming that “this is the way how modern rock should sound”.

The Trousers are an intensive live act; they have been playing in several countries in recent years including Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania and Serbia. They have shared the stage with bands like Dirty Honey (USA), Black Stone Cherry (USA), Tygers of Pan Tang (UK), Atomic Bitchwax (USA), MC5 (USA), Honky (USA), Peter Pan Speedrock (NL), The Blue Van (DK), Peter Hook & The Light (UK), Barb Wire Dolls (GR), or Konflikt (SK).
