Undead Society — “The Fool’s Tale”
“The Fool’s Tale” is the debut album of the Zielona Góra band Undead Society (Heavy / Thrash Metal). The album sound refers to the classic metal music genre of the 1990s.
The recordings were made in Perlazza Studio in Poznań under the supervision of Przemek «Perła» Wejmann (ex. Acid Drinkers), who took care of the original sound of the material.
The album «The Fool’s Tale» is a story consisting of many seemingly unconnected episodes, but as a whole it is the story of the titular «fool» who must go through a difficult path, full of darkness and madness, to finally be able to answer the question who he is. The coherence of the concept is complemented by an extraordinary cover by Bartosz Knapik.
The singles promoting the album occupied high places in Polish charts («Turn Black» — twice first place LP TOP30 pmalternatywna, twice the title of SINGLE OF THE WEEK, nomination for the title SINGLE OF SPRING, first place LP Szybka Dyszka of Radio SOK; «Daddy» — twice third place LP TOP30 pmalternatywna, nomination for the title SINGLE OF THE SUMMER; «Inside» — first place LP TOP30 pmalternatywna, title SINGLE OF THE WEEK, nomination for the title SINGLE OF THE AUTUMN) and were repeatedly presented and
positively commented on in various radio stations.
The band has been active since 2020 and became famous for its catchy riffs, strong bass, heavy metal singing and expressive guitar solos. The founder of the band is guitarist Piotr «Pepe» Pierzak, who invited drummer Jacek Giżyński to the project. Then actor Radek Walenda aka Natan Jakubczyk joined the band as a vocalist. The band also included a representative of talented youth, guitarist — Kamil Podyma and bassist — Michał Rzepecki. The band has performed many concerts (including at festivals such as «Rockowe Granie w Lubsko», on the occasion of the 31st Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity or at the legendary Elektrownia club in Żagań).
Along with the release of the album, the band announces the «Tour of the Fool» concert tour promoting the album. More details coming soon.
