Metallurg Compilation «Metal is Forged Here» vol. V

MiFH5

01. Mass Punishment — God Less America

The song was inspired by the nightmare of chaos and division that has stricken the US to the core. From the events of September 11, 2001 and the wars that followed to the lockdowns, protests and riots along economic collapse and poor leadership to the top of a corrupt government that has brought us to the brink of civil war.

02. State of Singularity — Holding My Breath

«Holding my Breath» is a visceral metal track serving as the closing piece of the debut EP, «Ethereal Hypercube of Disintegrated Space,» exploring the depths of inner turmoil and the raw power of solitude. The song delves into the struggle of overcoming darkness by reframing anger as a catalyst for resilience, blending heavy atmospheres with a narrative of survival. Delivering both technical intensity and spiritual clarity, the piece stands as a statement on finding individual strength within the void.

03. ST. MADNESS — A Time for Reflection

«I wrote the lyrics to A TIME FOR REFLECTION mostly to remind myself that the world, more now than ever, is filled with all kinds of different opinions about everything, so I wanted to remind myself to stay true to my own values and to be true to myself. If we give up on our own values, what do we have left? Our values are who we are. Be your own best friend.» (Prophet, Lyrics/Vocals)

04. Zubzero — Aftermath

Zubzero is straight in your face metal/hardcore since 1999. In 2025 the EP ‘Perverseverance’ was released. The track ‘Aftermath’ deals with the impending doom for the human race: “In retrospect we are a petty breed”. Like lemmings pursuing each-other over the edge, off the cliff, into certain death.

05. Devilz by Definition — Angel Warfare

»Angel Warfare» is an apocalyptic battle cry, painting a brutal vision of divine war and total annihilation. With thunderous riffs and relentless energy, the song describes angels and titans clashing in a celestial battlefield, raining destruction upon the earth as the skies burn red. Lightning strikes, chariots race, and the dead rise as heaven and hell wage their final war. The breakdown and bridge drive home the chaos, with swords clashing and bodies falling in an unstoppable storm of devastation. «Angel Warfare» is pure, unrelenting carnage—the soundtrack to the end of days.

06. Gurkkhas — A Life of Suffering

A Life of Suffering by Gurkkhas is a death metal track immersed in war and pain, driven by devotion to the flag, loyalty, and the certainty of fighting for a righteous cause. A brutal anthem of honor, sacrifice, and a life shaped by suffering.

07. Behind Bars — P.A.I.N.

About a year back in 2024 we had the opportunity to play the Tolminator festival in Slovenia, which was a great experience for us because that way we could go on our first tour. But around that same period, Steven (guitar) was scheduled to get surgery on his back. He managed to get the procedure postponed by a couple weeks so that we could still play the shows. That tour was absolute hell for him. Sleeping in tents or in the car, constantly hauling equipment, playing the shows, the stress,… it really took a toll on him and by the end he could barely walk back into his home. After that we took some time off so he could recover from the tour and the surgery. After a month or 2 we were back at it and Steven was a completely different person. He was moving, running, slamming, playing as if his life depended on it. He really came back with a vengeance. In remembrance of that medical struggle, the struggles with touring and his personal life we decided to make a song about it, and that song became P.A.I.N.. It’s about hitting back stronger when you’ve been pushed to the ground or as said before, returning with a vengeance. It has some easter eggs regarding his back issues and what he went through in that period, but it can be applied to every situation possible. Whether you’re in a depression, toxic relationship, financial trouble, you name it. We can always push back. We can always come back stronger. And we hope to inspire people to do so with a song like P.A.I.N.

08. Celtic HillsThe Hammer of Thor

“The Hammer of Thor” by Celtic Hills is a true battle hymn, forged in fire, steel, and ancient myth. The song unleashes a primal power that flows effortlessly through melodic death metal, the ruthless aggression of ’90s thrash metal, and the heroic grandeur of power metal. Crushing riffs, solemn melodies, and a devastating sonic impact evoke legendary battles and Norse gods, shaping a sound that is both unique and instantly recognizable. Like Thor’s hammer itself, the track strikes with overwhelming force, sealing Celtic Hills’ role as standard-bearers of epic, fierce, and timeless metal.

09. Stone Merrick — Circle The Black

Stone Merrick’s new single, «Circle the Black», follows its last CD to continue the tradition of symphonic metal started by such bands as Epica and Nightwish. Featuring the bass skills of Ole Quist of WtM and a powerful Ukranian singer named Liliia Kysil, «Circle the Black» is the beginning of a new CD that speaks to the state of our world.

10. The Light – War

The second single, «War,» from THE LIGHT’s debut album released in 2025, is a truly powerful and moving experience. Heavy, dark guitars, pounding drums, and Nick Antonelli’s emotional vocals propel the song forward, powerfully underscoring the all-too-relevant theme of war.
Without taking sides, the lyrics address capitalism, which profits from bloodshed and sacrifice to keep the population pacified, while «little fools» play war and so-called peace activists are powerless to take away their toys.
Despair, pain, and hope are palpable in every note and every word.

11. Küntsquäd — Your Mum Sucks Crack in Hell

»Your Mum Sucks Crack in Hell» flips Exorcist shock into commentary, using the figure of “mum” as a stand in for shared cultural behaviour rather than a cheap insult. It becomes a mirror held up to the way illicit drug use is framed as moral collapse or satanic corruption, while legal substances and state sanctioned addictions are quietly normalised or monetised.

12. Altared States – The Pupil

Listen to the first 15 seconds of this journey and then…The Pupil teaches you about what it means to thrash! With pounding and intricate drums, throbbing bass and melting, shredding guitar, The Pupil’s scathing vocals and lyrics transport you to a world of dictatorship and discipleship. Whether that’s good or bad is for you to decide.

13. Hellrazor — Sands of Time

In a world once alive, where powerful life roamed freely and ruled in balance, a greater evil descends without mercy. It conquers through slaughter, carving a path of destruction that lays ruin across the land. The roar of life is swallowed by a void of ash and shadow, as the plains fall silent beneath an unnatural stillness.

14. Skalnastal — The Dane Axe

» If You love viking battle in movies or in playing it in viking reenactment, the «Dane Axe» will be Your song, if You like traditional epic metal. Feel the strike of «The Dane Axe»

15. The Promise of PlagueMy World is Better, Darker

»My World Is Better, Darker” is an embrace of self-exile. It centers on the belief that suffering is deserved and that the darker world feels more honest than any promise of healing.
A world where despair becomes safer than hope, and isolation the only true choice.
The Promise of Plague frames this collapse through a fusion of ’90s black, death, and doom metal, drawing on the raw emotional gravity of the early underground while pushing it forward with a distinctly modern edge.

16. Dead Men’s DinerSlaves to the Sharks

Dead Men’s Diner – for more than 15 years, these three words have stood for a motto as simple as it is catchy: Thrash! Sex! Beer! With juicy old-school thrash, gritty shouts, and catchy riffs, the guys from Schömberg know how to win over even the last head-nodder in the back row. With their latest EP «DMD2: Die Rückkehr der Hopfenhelden», the 4 thirsty Germans are marking a new milestone into their legacy — especially with their track «Slaves To The Sharks», which brings massive riffing, shouting and speed onto the tracks. Come and join the rapid ride and be sure to check out the according Music Video on YouTube. You will not be disappointed!!!

17. Divisions of GrandeurBone Dust

The song «Bone Dust» confronts the unsettling truth that, while we do exist, the powers that be can erase lives, names and histories entirely, leaving nothing behind but dust.

18. Thy Despair — Безвихідь і Страх

Безвихідь і Страх (Fear and Despair) is a bleak, mystical story about a vampire doomed to sustain his existence with human blood. Majestic symphonic elements, powerful guitar sound, and the contrast between academic soprano and extreme vocals create a sense of endless inner struggle between darkness and the remnants of human being. There is also an atmospheric video clip filmed on this song which you can find at Thy Despair Youtube channel:  https://youtu.be/o8hFXt_kyTw
