Emissary is a five-piece Metal band from Oregon, USA featuring Jym Harris, Tim Dahlen, Charlie Francipane, Peter Shawn Kinney and Tony Mullins. «The Crystal Witch» was written by Harris and Dahlen, and it features scorching lead guitar by Francipane. The song was written about three years ago. I wanted a grand opener for the album and My intention was to make an interesting song like an adventure without repeating the same things too much. As I started the song, the rest just came natural and the basics of the song did not take too long to finish, the arrangement took a little longer though.
The lyrics: The meaning of the song is simply a tale of finding your home and/or the one person that makes you feel at home but also the sometimes difficult journey to get there.
